Pokémon Go sees the return of Team Go Rocket for Fashion Week and Ho-Oh’s Shadow Raid Day

Pokémon GO's Fashion Week: Taken Over brings a stylish battle against Team GO Rocket! From January 15th to 19th, trainers can challenge Giovanni and rescue Shadow Palkia. This exciting event also introduces two new Pokémon: Shroodle and Grafaiai, hatchable from 12km Eggs.

Team GO Rocket will be more prevalent at PokéStops and in balloons, providing ample chances to utilize Charged TMs and remove the Frustration move from Shadow Pokémon. A host of new Shadow Pokémon—including Shadow Taillow, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Trubbish, and Bunnelby—will be available, with a chance of encountering Shiny variants. For the first time, Remote Raid Passes are accepted for Shadow Raids, enabling participation from anywhere.

A special research task unlocks a Super Rocket Radar, leading to the Giovanni showdown and Shadow Palkia rescue. Additional Field Research tasks offer rewards like Mysterious Components and TMs. Completing a Collection Challenge grants Stardust and a Trubbish encounter. Ho-Oh's Shadow Raid Day concludes the event on January 19th, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time. This offers increased Raid Pass availability, boosted Shiny Ho-Oh encounter rates, and the chance for Ho-Oh to learn Sacred Fire. A $5 event ticket unlocks extra rewards.
