Fortnite Unveils Epic Hatsune Miku Collaboration

Hatsune Miku is joining Fortnite on January 14th! This virtual pop star will make her debut with two distinct skins: her classic look, available in the item shop, and a NEKO Miku skin, part of a new Festival Pass. Expect accompanying cosmetics and music to enhance the experience.

Fortnite's ever-expanding roster of celebrity and fictional character skins continues its trend of incorporating iconic figures. This follows a pattern of collaborations with major franchises like DC, Marvel, and Star Wars. Miku's arrival fits perfectly with the game's current Chapter 6 Season 1 ("Hunters") theme, heavily influenced by Japanese aesthetics. The season already features katana-style blades and Oni masks, creating a visually striking and action-packed atmosphere. Further exciting additions are planned, including the upcoming appearance of Godzilla.

A recently released trailer showcases Miku in Fortnite's Festival game mode, a rhythm-based gameplay experience reminiscent of Rock Band or Guitar Hero. The Festival Pass, offering the NEKO Miku skin as a reward, operates similarly to the standard battle pass, with challenges and objectives unlocking various cosmetic items. The classic Miku skin will be a separate purchase in the item shop. Miku's inclusion represents a significant addition, blending a real-world phenomenon with Fortnite's anime-inspired style.
