Retro Royale mode brings Clash Royale back to its roots

Supercell is bringing a wave of nostalgia to Clash Royale with the introduction of the new Retro Royale Mode, taking players back to the game's 2017 launch era. This exciting mode will be available for a limited time from March 12th to March 26th, offering players a chance to dive into a more vintage gameplay experience complete with exclusive rewards.

In Retro Royale Mode, players will have access to a curated pool of 80 cards reminiscent of the game's early days. As you ascend the Retro Ladder, you'll compete in matches to progress through 30 steps, earning Gold and Season Tokens along the way. Once you reach the Competitive League, your starting rank will be determined by your progress on the Trophy Road. From there, it's all about showcasing your prowess in Retro Royale, as your performance will dictate your position on the leaderboard. Interestingly, this retro-themed mode comes on the heels of Supercell's efforts to keep their games feeling fresh, as seen with the recent removal of Troop Training times in Clash of Clans.
