Marvel Rivals Season 1 Mid-Season Update: No Rank Reset

A planned mid-season rank reset in Marvel Rivals Season 1 has been cancelled following significant player feedback. Initially, NetEase Games announced a reset coinciding with the February 21, 2025 update, which introduced The Thing and Human Torch. However, due to overwhelmingly negative community response, the decision was reversed.

The Marvel Rivals team stated in a blog post that maintaining ranks and scores from the first half of the season would be more enjoyable for players. Instead of a reset, players will retain their current rank and score. To earn new rewards (including a Gold rank costume and Crests of Honor), players simply need to complete 10 competitive matches and meet the required conditions by the season's end.

This decision showcases NetEase's responsiveness to player concerns and provides top-ranked players with an extended period to compete.

Season 1 Mid-Season Update Content:

Beyond the addition of The Thing and Human Torch, the mid-season update includes unspecified balance adjustments to existing characters. Details regarding buffs and nerfs are yet to be revealed.
