Lawnchair Legacy represents a mature and fully-featured version of the Lawnchair launcher, rooted in the Launcher3 framework from Android 9. As this version is now in maintenance mode, updates will be limited to essential fixes concerning the Play Store and security enhancements.

Note that this release does not officially support Android 10.

Lawnchair employs the AccessibilityService permission to optionally enhance system function accessibility, such as through desktop gestures for turning off the screen. The launcher will prompt you to enable this service if required by your setup, though it's often unnecessary. No data is collected via the AccessibilityService; it's solely used to trigger system actions.

Additionally, Lawnchair utilizes the Device Administrator permission to lock the screen upon detecting a chosen gesture. This feature is optional and disabled by default, ensuring user control over its activation.
