• Phom (Tala): A traditional Northern Vietnamese game where combinations of Phom (sets, quads, same-suit straights) give you an advantage. You always have 9 cards in hand, and the highest unmatched card loses points. No Phom loses, and 3 Phoms win.
• Sam Loc (Sam Loc): Similar to 10-card Tien Len, but you can't win with the same rank. You can declare Sam Loc at the start of the game (like stealing the deal). The winner takes all (calculated like Tien Len Counting Leaves).
• Catte: You are dealt 6 cards, and there are 4 rounds to win the deal. Ace of Spades is the highest card. The winner takes the pot and scores.
• Lieng (Cao To): A 3-card game where you can bet, bluff, and raise. Lieng has a high chance of winning, so go all in. An 8 or 9 is also a great hand to bet confidently.
