Xbox Game Pass January 2025 Lineup: A Snowy Start and More to Come

Xbox Game Pass is gearing up for a busy January 2025, starting with the addition of Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders on January 21st as a day-one title for Ultimate subscribers. While the first half of the month saw relatively few new additions, the latter half promises a more substantial influx of games.

Initially, many subscribers noted a lean start to the month, with the primary changes involving the shifting of several Ultimate-exclusive titles to the Standard tier. Notable exceptions were the arrival of Diablo on PC Game Pass and EA Sports UFC 5 for Ultimate members.

However, the second half of January 2025 offers a much more exciting prospect. Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, a co-op and PvP skiing game, will launch directly onto Game Pass Ultimate. This follows the established pattern of day-one titles being initially exclusive to the Ultimate tier.

Beyond Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, three more day-one games are slated for release later in January: Eternal Strands (January 28th), Sniper Elite: Resistance (January 30th), and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector (January 31st). Of particular note is Eternal Strands, an action-adventure game from Yellow Brick Games, helmed by BioWare veteran Mike Laidlaw, which boasts a distinct Zelda-esque aesthetic.

The full list of Xbox Game Pass additions for January 2025 includes:

  • Carrion - January 2nd
  • Road 96 - January 7th
  • Diablo - January 14th
  • EA Sports UFC 3 - January 14th
  • Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders - January 21st
  • Eternal Strands - January 28th
  • Sniper Elite: Resistance - January 30th
  • Citizen Sleeper 2 - January 31st

Looking ahead to February 2025, the lineup currently appears less robust. While Avowed is confirmed for February 18th (Game Pass Ultimate), further details remain scarce. For now, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers can anticipate a strong finish to January, with several exciting day-one releases to enjoy before the February lineup is revealed.
