Tuxedo Labs has exciting news for fans of their popular sandbox game, Teardown. The developers have announced the introduction of a multiplayer mode, fulfilling a long-standing goal and a much-requested feature from the community. This new mode will initially be available on Steam's Experimental Branch, allowing players to get early access and provide valuable feedback.
In addition to the multiplayer update, Tuxedo Labs is set to release the Folkrace DLC, which will enrich the single-player experience. This expansion will introduce new maps, vehicles, and racing challenges, enabling players to compete in various events, earn rewards, and customize their vehicles to excel on the tracks.
The developers are particularly keen on receiving feedback from the modding community. With updates to the game's API, modders will be able to adapt their creations for use in the multiplayer environment, ensuring a seamless transition and enhancing the overall gaming experience.
Once the testing phase on the Experimental Branch is complete, multiplayer will become a permanent feature of Teardown. Looking further ahead, Tuxedo Labs has teased that two more major DLCs are in development, with more details to be announced later in 2025. This roadmap promises to keep the game fresh and engaging for its dedicated player base.
