Shroodle Joins Pokémon GO Pokédex

Author: Noah Feb 24,2025

Pokémon GO's newest additions keep trainers busy! Following Fidough's arrival, Shroodle is the next Pokémon to join the roster, but acquiring it isn't as simple as a standard wild encounter.

Shroodle's Pokémon GO Debut

The Poison-type Shroodle arrives in Pokémon GO on January 15, 2025, as part of the Fashion Week: Taken Over event. Originating from Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, it's a relatively recent addition to the Pokémon world. Post-event, Shroodle will remain obtainable.

Shiny Shroodle?

Currently, a Shiny Shroodle isn't available at launch. Its Shiny variant will likely appear in a future event, potentially a Poison-type focused event or one related to Team GO Rocket.

Catching Shroodle in Pokémon GO

Breaking from the usual wild spawn pattern, Shroodle is exclusively hatched from 12KM Eggs. This is the only method to obtain it.

12KM Eggs collected from 12 AM local time on January 15th onwards have a chance to hatch into Shroodle. While its hatch rate might be higher during the Fashion Week event, it should remain in the 12KM egg pool afterward.

Obtaining 12KM Eggs

To acquire the rare 12KM Eggs, trainers must defeat Team GO Rocket Leaders (Sierra, Arlo, Cliff) or Giovanni. The Taken Over event provides an ideal opportunity to stockpile 12KM Eggs due to increased Team GO Rocket activity and readily available Rocket Radars. However, you can battle GO Rocket Grunts at any time to obtain an egg (provided you have inventory space).

Acquiring Grafaiai

Evolving Shroodle into Grafaiai

Grafaiai, Shroodle's evolution, also debuts on January 15th. Unlike Shroodle, it cannot be hatched or found in the wild; evolution is the only method.

Evolution requires 50 Shroodle Candy. Hatching multiple Shroodle or using one as your buddy are the best ways to gather the necessary Candy.
