The studio issued a statement to temper expectations, clarifying that no game announcements would be made at the event. Instead, they promised a celebration of the series' rich history, featuring a unique lineup of Greek and Norse characters. Santa Monica Studio's statement read:

We’re thrilled to present a lineup of Greek and Norse characters for this panel celebrating the 20th anniversary of God of War where we’ll reflect on the past two decades of the series. While fans won't see any new game announcements, they can look forward to new thematic artwork showcasing Kratos alongside Jörmungandr. The event will also feature appearances by beloved actors from the God of War series, including Terrence Carson, the original voice of Kratos, and Carole Ruggier, who lent her voice to Athena. This special panel is set to take place on March 22, promising a nostalgic and engaging experience for all attendees.
