Where to Find Rosa’s Book in Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (KCD2)

In *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*, some side quests can be easily overlooked, leading to missed opportunities. One such quest is "Rosa's Book," which is crucial not only for completing the task but also for progressing in the storyline and potentially romancing Rosa. Here's how to unlock and complete this quest to ensure you don't miss out.

Unlocking the Rosa's Book Side Quest

To start "Rosa's Book," you must first complete the "Via Argentum" quest and begin "Taking French Leave." During "Taking French Leave," assist the Ruthard family in dealing with Vavak, either through force or persuasion. Once resolved, you'll be directed to speak with Rosa. She'll inform you about a secret passage into Maleshov that can be used to rescue Hans. After discussing the passage, Rosa will ask you to retrieve a specific book for her while you're in Maleshov. Make sure to ask her about the book and promise to bring it back to officially start the "Rosa's Book" side quest.

Remember, you can only complete this quest during "Taking French Leave." If you leave Maleshov with Hans without finding the book, the quest will fail, and you'll miss the chance to romance Rosa. Fortunately, the book is conveniently located on your path to Hans' room.

Finding Rosa's Book in Maleshov

Upon entering Maleshov, head to the largest tower where Hans is located at the top. Use the stairs on the side of the building to reach the entrance. Sneak inside and find another set of stairs near a small kitchen. Hide in the kitchen until the guards upstairs leave the tower.

Next, quietly ascend the stairs to a room where you'll find Lady Ofka sitting by the fireplace. Sneak up behind her and knock her out. Take the keys from her body, the keys from the podium, and the sword from the chest in her room. In this same room, locate Rosa's book to the right of the fireplace in a window alcove. Pick up the red book, and your objective will update to return it to Rosa.

While in the area, don't forget to grab another sword from the chest in the adjacent room. This will save you time later when you meet Hans, as you'll need two weapons for him and his surprise guest. After securing the book and the swords, proceed to the top level and unlock the door on the left to trigger a cutscene.

Following the cutscene, continue with "Taking French Leave." Although Hans may not want to use the passageway, you can still work towards romancing him by choosing the dialogue option with a heart symbol, provided you made the same choice in Trosky. Sneak to the stables on the north side of Maleshov, knocking out and hiding guards as necessary. Clear a path, signal Hans, and ensure he reaches the stables safely.

Open the gate to initiate another cutscene, concluding the quest. After the cutscene, return to Kuttenberg City and visit Ruthard Palace to deliver Rosa's book, completing the "Rosa's Book" side quest in *Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2*.
