Nintendo has confirmed several first-party titles launching in 2025. Donkey Kong Country Returns HD arrives on January 16th, followed by Xenoblade Chronicles X: Definitive Edition on March 20th. Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond are also slated for release this year, though specific dates remain unannounced.

Further announcements are expected during a Nintendo Direct on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025. While the broadcast's focus is reportedly the Nintendo Switch 2, fans eagerly anticipate news of additional Switch 2 titles. Nintendo Switch 2 Experience Before Launch

The highly anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 is also launching in 2025, likely in the latter half of the year. To build excitement, Nintendo is hosting in-person "Nintendo Switch 2 Experience" events at 15 global locations, including New York, Tokyo, and Amsterdam, starting in April. Super Nintendo World Expands to Orlando

Nintendo's expansion extends beyond gaming. A new Super Nintendo World theme park is opening at Universal Orlando Resort's Epic Universe on May 22nd, 2025. This will be the second Super Nintendo World location in the US, following the Universal Studios Hollywood debut in February 2023. The Orlando park will feature iconic landscapes from Super Mario Land and Donkey Kong Country.
