Author: Blake Apr 24,2025

Star Wars Celebration has unveiled thrilling new details about the upcoming *The Mandalorian and Grogu*-themed update for *Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run*, set to coincide with the release of the new movie. This update promises an immersive experience where Engineers will have the unique opportunity to care for Grogu. Additionally, players can explore the iconic planet Coruscant, alongside other familiar locations such as Tatooine, Bespin, and Endor, in a choose-your-own-adventure-style storyline.

Scheduled for release on May 22, 2026, this update will diverge from the plot of *The Mandalorian & Grogu* film but will still feature Din Djarin and Grogu in exciting new scenarios. The story kicks off with Hondo Ohnaka uncovering a clandestine deal between former Imperial officers and pirates on Tatooine. This sets the stage for a high-stakes galactic chase where guests team up with Mando and Grogu to track down the culprits and claim a bounty, promising a dynamic and galaxy-spanning adventure.

While full details are yet to be revealed, it's clear that Engineers will play a significantly larger role this time, as they will be responsible for looking after Grogu—an engaging addition to the experience.

To delve deeper into what fans can expect, we had the privilege of speaking with Walt Disney Imagineering's Asa Kalama, who provided some insights into the new mission. "Throughout the mission, we're going to be giving the engineers the opportunity to actually communicate with Grogu," Kalama explained. "We think it's going to be a ton of fun. There may be times when Mando has to deboard the Razor Crest, and Grogu, left to his own devices, might get a little playful with the control panel. We love the idea of these fun little vignettes and moments where you're sort of on the comm with Grogu."

Regarding the choose-your-own-adventure aspect, Kalama highlighted a critical moment in the adventure where players must make swift decisions about which bounties to pursue. "This will be the inciting incident that allows us to decide which different destinations we go to," he added.
