Recent social media posts from Hideo Kojima reveal that the Japanese voice actors for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach have completed their principal recording sessions. Although additional work is still in progress, the completion of this significant milestone suggests the game's release is drawing closer. The final recordings involved a crucial scene featuring six main characters. To mark the occasion, a celebratory gathering was held. Kojima expressed bittersweet feelings about concluding this phase of the project, while also expressing enthusiasm for future collaborations.

Further details regarding Death Stranding 2: On the Beach are promised during SXSW 2025 on March 10th. However, whether a release date will be announced at that time remains unconfirmed.
