After over two years, Grand Theft Auto V on PC is finally getting a major update, bringing it largely in line with the console versions. Mark your calendars: March 4th is the day! This update incorporates features from the native PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S versions released in 2022, and it's completely free for all current players. Best of all, your progress in both GTA Online and Story Mode will seamlessly transfer—no extra steps required.

The biggest changes are coming to GTA Online, with a massive influx of content previously unavailable to PC players. Plus, the GTA+ subscription service will now be available on PC, offering benefits like significantly faster business profit collection. Rockstar Games has also boosted anti-cheat measures for a fairer playing experience.

Expect significant graphical improvements with this update. However, be aware that the updated version will require more powerful hardware. Don't worry if your system can't handle the upgrade; Rockstar will continue supporting the older version. It's important to note, though, that cross-version play will not be supported. This means players on different versions of the game won't be able to play together.
