Path of Exile 2's Hidden Golden Idols: A Guide to Finding and Selling Them

Path of Exile 2 features many quests, some less obvious than others. Act 3 introduces Golden Idols, unique quest items not automatically logged. Unlike typical quest items, these aren't turned in for progression; instead, they're valuable trade goods. There are five to find.

Locating the Golden Idols in PoE 2

After exploring the Vaal ruins beneath the Ziggurat Encampment and traveling to the past via a portal, you'll find yourself in Utzaal (The Drowned City in the present). This ancient Vaal city holds three idols, with two more in the connected Aggorat area. They're found in side rooms, not dropped by enemies.

  • Exceptional Idol
  • Elegant Idol

Selling Your Golden Idols

Return to the Ziggurat Encampment and seek out Oswald, located in the northern part of the area. He'll buy your idols for a significant sum:

• Golden Idol: 500 Gold
• Grand Idol: 1000 Gold
• Glorious Idol: 1500 Gold
• Elegant Idol: 1000 Gold
• Exceptional Idol: 1500 Gold

Finding all five yields 6000 gold. Since they're purely valuable sellables, sell them immediately to free up inventory space.
