Dragon Quest X is coming to mobile, but so far only in Japan

The beloved *Dragon Quest X*, a unique entry in the long-running series, is finally making its way to mobile devices—in Japan, at least. Japanese fans can now enjoy the offline version of *Dragon Quest X* on iOS and Android, complete with offline functionality, at a special launch price. However, a global release remains unconfirmed.

As reported by Gematsu, this mobile port offers a single-player experience of *Dragon Quest X Offline*, a version originally released for consoles and PC in 2022. This marks a significant development, considering a mobile release was initially planned by Ubitu back in 2013.

Unlike other *Dragon Quest* games, *Dragon Quest X* incorporates MMORPG elements such as real-time combat. The offline version, released after the original 2012 launch, streamlines this experience for solo play.

Here be dragons

Unfortunately, there's currently no official word on an international release. Given the original *Dragon Quest X* was Japan-exclusive, hopes for a global mobile launch remain uncertain. This is disappointing for many fans, especially those who have enjoyed previous entries in the series.
