Secure a Free Bow Early in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Early-game combat in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be challenging. This guide shows you how to acquire the Dogwood Village Bow early and without spending a single groat.
After parting ways with Hans, your path to the wedding involves either working for a blacksmith or miller. Regardless of your chosen path, the blacksmith's location conveniently marks the bow's whereabouts on your map.
The blacksmith's workshop is located in Tachov, north of Troskowitz. Head west out of Troskowitz, following the path north. At the fork, where a smaller road branches west and the main road continues, turn right towards a cluster of trees. A small training area is hidden within these trees.
You'll find a target with arrows – grab these for free ammo. To the right of the target, leaning against a tree trunk, is the Dogwood Village Bow. There are also some brew and mushrooms nearby. Once you've collected your loot, resume your quest.
Alternative Methods: A Purchasable Option
While you can buy the Dogwood Village Bow from Huntsman's Son Vitek in Tachov, it's not the most powerful ranged weapon and isn't worth the cost considering its free alternative's proximity. Vitek does, however, sell other superior weapons. Consider gathering herbs and brewing potions to sell for income.
Regardless of your weapon choice, having a ranged option significantly improves combat, especially since difficulty adjustments aren't available. Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2's combat, while similar to the first game, isn't ideal for all players. Ranged weapons provide a valuable tactical advantage.
After securing the bow, you can continue your blacksmith quest (saving after forging a sword), or proceed to the miller to advance the main storyline.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 is available now on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC.
