The Road Guardians project has been updated with a new app, offering a streamlined and improved user experience. Join the initiative and help save lives!
Launched in 2016, the "Road Guardians - Our Shared Road" project aims to raise awareness and deter unsafe driving practices. As of January 1st, 2023, the project is managed by the "Safe Path" association.
Anyone over 18 can download the "Road Guardians" app and begin documenting traffic violations.
Using the app is simple and quick. Activate it before driving, and when you witness a violation, initiate the reporting function. Reporting can be triggered via voice command or by pressing a Bluetooth button on your steering wheel. The app will automatically begin recording video and audio details of the incident.
These recordings are sent to a control center staffed by experienced volunteer monitors. Following review, a "letter on the way" is sent to the driver, including a link to the recorded violation. In cases of serious, life-threatening offenses, reports are forwarded directly to the police.
