Microsoft's Apology to Jyamma Games Resolves Enotria's Xbox Release Delays, But Launch Date Remains Uncertain
Following reported delays in the Xbox certification process for Jyamma Games' debut title, Enotria: The Last Song, Microsoft has issued an apology. The developer had previously voiced frustration on Discord, citing over two months of unanswered inquiries and the subsequent indefinite postponement of the Xbox release. Jyamma Games CEO, Jacky Greco, expressed concern over the significant investment in porting the game to the Xbox Series X/S platform.
However, a swift turnaround occurred after Microsoft’s intervention. Jyamma Games publicly thanked Phil Spencer and the Xbox team for their prompt response and assistance in resolving the issue. They also acknowledged the significant support of their player community whose advocacy played a crucial role.
On Twitter (X), Jyamma Games confirmed that they are now actively collaborating with Microsoft to expedite the Xbox release. Greco further detailed the positive outcome on the game’s Discord server, stating that Microsoft had apologized for the oversight and are working towards a swift resolution.
While the PS5 and PC releases of Enotria: The Last Song remain on track for September 19th, the Xbox release date remains unconfirmed. This situation highlights ongoing challenges faced by some developers in navigating the Xbox release process. This is further underscored by recent comments from Funcom regarding optimization issues encountered while porting Dune: Awakening to the Xbox Series S.
