Wild Rift Patch 6.1 Goes Cosmic Mid-April

LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars is set to launch on April 16th, and it's bringing a cosmic transformation that will revamp everything from the menus to the battlefield. Prepare to embark on an adventure through the Dual Nova galaxy, featuring the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star.

This update introduces three new champions to the roster, each with unique and powerful abilities that could change the way you play. First up is Ryze, the Rune Mage, who unleashes devastating AoE damage and can strategically reposition his team with his Realm Warp ability. Next, Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, dives into battle with Paranoia, creating chaos by shrouding enemies in darkness. Lastly, Zilean, the Chronokeeper, manipulates time to slow foes and revive allies with his Chronoshift, adding a strategic layer to your gameplay.

Several champions are also receiving significant updates. Garen's Courage will now scale over time, increasing his resilience, while his Judgment ability will be more effective at shredding enemy armor. Ambessa is transitioning from the jungle to the Baron lane, with adjustments to her damage and life steal capabilities. Additionally, smaller tweaks are planned for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista, ensuring a fresh feel to these beloved characters.

Beyond champion updates, the Bandle-inspired Rift is set to shake things up in non-Ranked modes. Enchanted Gifts will appear through portals during the laning phase, adding an exciting twist to your matches. Mages are in for a treat too, with long-awaited item updates. The new Bandle Fantasy item offers extra burst damage, while Hextech GLP800 slows enemies with frost bombs, and Malignance amplifies ultimate abilities, making spellcasters even more formidable.

Ranked mode is also seeing significant changes. With the launch of the Challenger’s Star, a new season begins, bringing updates to the Ranked store and an easier way to earn seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star will unlock, introducing AAAARAM—a thrilling new take on ARAM with added augments and stunning galactic visuals.
