Exploring Dynasty Warriors: Origins' overworld yields various rewards beneficial for future battles. While Pyroxene farming produces gems, you'll also discover Old Coins, whose purpose isn't immediately apparent.
Several methods exist for acquiring Old Coins, and you'll accumulate a substantial number (hundreds) throughout the game. Here's how to utilize Old Coins and the various acquisition methods.
What To Use Old Coins For In Dynasty Warriors: Origins
Old Coins are unusable in the game's first chapter; focus on the main story. After Chapter 2, complete these main story battles:
- Suppression of You Province
- Suppression of Jing Province
- Suppression of Liang Province
Completing these battles leads you back to Ji, where you'll meet Sima Hui. Following the conversation and obtaining incense for the Innkeeper, the Shui Jing Retreat appears on the overworld map near Ji. Here, you can exchange Old Coins with Sima Hui. You can also manage bonds and review past interactions.
Rewards are tied to specific Old Coin milestones; redeem them whenever possible.
