Build Defense Beginner’s Guide
Here are some essential tips we wish we knew when we started playing. Implementing these strategies can significantly enhance your gameplay and accelerate your progress.
The object of the game is to survive…
Screenshot by The EscapistUpon entering your world and claiming your plot of land, you might think the goal is to protect it. However, the true objective is to survive—essentially, to avoid death at all costs. The game will challenge you with various hazards, and your task is to outlast them. The ideal approach is to fortify your plot with a defensive structure, but if needed, you can roam the world until the threat subsides—a strategy that works surprisingly well. Each time you survive an encounter, you earn a "Win" and some in-game currency. Accumulating Wins is crucial for progressing in the game. Keep an eye on the screen messages and focus on staying alive.
… dying is completely normal

You'll respawn immediately, lose your items, and fail the current wave, but these setbacks are not game-ending. You can repurchase your lost weapons and items, and the structures you've built remain intact. Another wave of attacks will come every two minutes, giving you plenty of opportunities to try again. In essence, you only lose a bit of time, which isn't too bad.
Build high, not low

A more effective approach is to construct a tall set of stairs leading to a high platform. During nighttime, you can retreat to this elevated sanctuary. Monsters attempting to climb will likely fall, and those reaching the top can be met with a welcoming barrage of turrets. This setup is nearly foolproof and should help you survive most nights.
Don’t just build, explore!

While most quests require a certain number of Wins to unlock, some, like the Gingerbread’s House quest, are available immediately. Completing these quests can unlock exciting new building parts, enhancing your gameplay experience.
The “Shop” isn’t just for premium items

Spend some time playing before diving into the Shop. Also, remember to join the Swiftplay Roblox group and engage with the game through likes, favorites, and follows to receive a free gift.
When you’re ready, move to the next area
