"Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Receives Last Major Update"

Rocksteady Studios has released the final major content update for *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League*, marking the end of new content development for the live-service game. Season 4 Episode 8, titled "Balance," is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Despite the game's servers remaining online, no further updates will be rolled out following the January 14 patch.

Launched to mixed reviews in February 2024, *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League* faced criticism primarily due to its unexpected live-service mechanics. Less than a year later, on December 9, 2024, Rocksteady confirmed that Season 4 Episode 8 would be the game's last hurrah. Despite the end of new content, online features will continue to be accessible, allowing players to enjoy the game with friends.

After a brief period of server downtime, players can now dive into Season 4 Episode 8, which introduces the Libra Infamy Set, new Notorious weapons, and a concluding Mayhem mission against Brainiac. The update also includes significant bug fixes and gameplay enhancements, such as reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels, ensuring players can enjoy a smoother experience.

While the servers will stay active, the game can also be played offline, thanks to the Season 4 Episode 7 update introduced in December. This allows players to experience the main campaign and all seasonal story missions without an internet connection. Although no server shutdown has been announced, the offline mode ensures fans can continue playing if servers ever go offline.

For those yet to explore this DC anti-hero title, *Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League* is currently available on PlayStation Plus until February 3, alongside *The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe* and *Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit Remastered*.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Patch Notes for Season 4 Episode 8 Update

MEDIEVAL GENIUS

Delve deeper into the medieval Elseworld in Episode 8: Balance, where you'll encounter both familiar and new locations. From the fortified citadel of The Quarry to the jousting arenas and statues of King Jor-El and Queen Lara Lor-Van, immerse yourself in an age of chivalry and honor as you battle Brainiac.

LIBRA INFAMY SET

Inspired by the DC Super-Villain Libra, this Infamy Set focuses on balance, applying Scales of Libra to enemies. Each stack increases both the damage they deal and receive by 50%, promoting a high-risk, high-reward playstyle that demands dynamic and bold strategies.

NOTORIOUS WEAPONS

Enhance your arsenal with new Notorious weapons:

  • The Silencer’s Complete Silence: Deals 200% bonus damage to enemies with Scales of Libra. Its Alt-Fire creates a Silencer Zone, reducing enemy damage output by 100%, perfect for crowd control.
  • Doctor Sivana’s Magic Bullets: Pierces through enemies, applying Scales of Libra and potentially electrifying them, making it ideal for taking down multiple foes at once.
  • Chronos’ Equilibrium: Boosts damage by 25% for every 1% of Shield missing, encouraging a glass cannon approach that thrives in the thick of battle.

GAMEPLAY CHANGES

  • Adjusted the duration of Deathstroke’s Suicide Strike for consistency across characters.
  • Reduced XP requirements for Squad Levels, with retroactive rewards for previously earned XP, allowing players to see increases in Squad Levels and gain additional Squad Points.
