Stellar Blade's Update Triples Down on Challenges

Stellar Blade's latest update, 1.009, brings the highly anticipated Photo Mode and NieR: Automata DLC, but unfortunately, also introduces some critical bugs. Developers Shift Up are working on a hotfix.

Game-Breaking Bugs and the Hotfix

The update has caused softlocks for some players during a specific main quest and crashes when using the Photo Mode's selfie function. Some cosmetic items also aren't rendering correctly. Shift Up advises against forcing quest progression until the hotfix is released, as this could create permanent softlocks.

NieR: Automata DLC and Photo Mode Enhancements

The NieR: Automata collaboration, inspired by mutual respect between the directors of both games, offers 11 exclusive items. Find Emil, the NieR character, in Stellar Blade to acquire them.

The new Photo Mode lets players capture stunning images of Eve and her companions. New photo challenges encourage its use. Four new outfits for Eve, a new accessory altering Tachy Mode, and a "No Ponytail" option have also been added. Further improvements include lip-sync support for six additional languages, enhanced projectile auto-aim and bullet magnet functions, and various minor bug fixes.
