Stellar Blade Dev Comments On Potential PC Version

Shift Up, the developer behind Stellar Blade, has hinted at a potential PC port of the PS5 exclusive. While no official announcement has been made, recent comments from the CEO and CFO suggest a PC release is under consideration.

Stellar Blade's success, including topping US sales charts in its launch month and receiving an 82 average OpenCritic rating, has fueled interest in expanding the game's reach. During an IPO press conference, CEO Kim Hyung-Tae stated that a PC port is being "considered," though the timing remains uncertain due to contractual obligations with publisher Sony. CFO Jae-woo Ahn noted the shifting consumer base towards PC gaming for AAA titles, further emphasizing the potential benefits of a PC release for the IP's value.

A previous financial report already indicated Shift Up's exploration of both a sequel and a PC port for Stellar Blade. Given Sony's recent strategy of bringing its exclusives to PC (with God of War: Ragnarok as the latest example), a PC version of Stellar Blade seems increasingly likely.

Currently, Shift Up is focused on optimizing the PS5 experience, though a recent update introduced some graphical glitches. The developer has acknowledged these issues and promised a fix is underway.
