The eagerly anticipated Disney+ animated series, "Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man," which follows Peter Parker during his first year of high school, has already been renewed for both Season 2 and Season 3. Marvel Studios head of streaming, television, and animation, Brad Winderbaum, shared exciting news during an interview with The Movie Podcast. Despite Season 1 not premiering until January 29, Winderbaum revealed that the scripts for Season 2 are complete and half of its animated storyboards are already finished. Furthermore, Season 3 has also been greenlit.

"I've fallen so head over heels in love with these characters and I've now read all of the scripts for Season 2; we're halfway through the animatics," Winderbaum enthused. He praised lead writer and executive producer Jeff Trammell for the meticulous storytelling. "What [Jeff Trammell] is building brick by brick in this show starts to pay off. And you feel it in Season 1. You grow connected to these characters so that when everything starts to lock into place and pay off by the end of the season. I feel it in my very soul and it just gets deeper and deeper in subsequent seasons."

Winderbaum also mentioned an upcoming meeting with Trammell to discuss the pitch for Season 3, although he did not provide any details about when fans might see Season 2 or Season 3.

"Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man" narrates the journey of Peter Parker as he navigates his first year of high school while gaining his superpowers. While it's uncertain whether Season 2 will cover his second year and Season 3 his third, or if Marvel intends to explore more stories from Peter's freshman year, fans can look forward to an engaging continuation of this beloved character's adventures.
