Monster Hunter Now is gearing up for an exciting new chapter with the launch of Season 5: The Blossoming Blade, set to kick off on March 6th, 2025. Niantic has shared all the juicy details about what players can expect from this season, including new challenges, weapons, a Season Pass, and, of course, fearsome new monsters.
Getting Ready for Monster Hunter Now Season 5
Before the official start of Season 5, players are in for a special treat with the arrival of Chatacabra on February 28th. This marks its grand debut before its first-ever appearance in Monster Hunter Wilds. Once the season officially launches, players will also encounter Glavenus and Arzuros, adding more variety and excitement to the hunt.
In terms of weaponry, Season 5 introduces balance tweaks designed to make every weapon type more viable and enjoyable. The Sword & Shield, for instance, is getting a buff that will make targeting breakable parts like tails easier. The Perfect Rush Combo (SP) will now reward well-timed taps with enhanced performance, resulting in more satisfying combos. Additionally, the Guard skill is set for an upgrade. Previously, leveling up Guard barely made a difference, but now, higher skill levels will significantly reduce the damage taken when blocking. More tweaks are on the horizon, and full details will be unveiled in the patch notes on March 6th.
And There Is More!
For those struggling with inventory management, Monster Hunter Now Season 5 brings fantastic news. A new Item Box Expansion will be available as a Supply Item, granting an additional 250 slots to help manage your gear and resources more effectively.
As part of Monster Hunter Now’s 1.5-Year Anniversary celebration on March 17th, a new feature will allow players to trade special materials earned from hunts and events for some incredible rewards. Look forward to acquiring Item Box Expansions, Weapon Refining Parts, Armor Refining Parts, and Wyvern Gem Shards, among other valuable items.
