Fans of *The Last of Us* have a date to mark on their calendars: HBO has officially announced that Season 2 will premiere on Sunday, April 13 at 9pm ET/PT. The new season will not only air on HBO but will also be available to stream on Max. Spanning seven episodes, the channel is gearing up for its release by unveiling fresh character posters featuring Joel, Ellie, and the new character Abby.

Set to unfold five years after the gripping events of the first season, *The Last of Us* Season 2 will continue the journey of Joel and Ellie, now residing with Joel's brother Tommy in a commune in Montana. This season will delve into the narrative of the second game in the series, *The Last of Us Part II*, offering fans a familiar yet fresh storyline to explore.

Joining the cast are some exciting new faces: Kaitlyn Dever will take on the role of Abby, Isabela Merced as Dina, Young Mazino as Jesse, Ariela Barer as Mel, and Tati Gabrielle as Nora. Notably, Tati Gabrielle is also set to star as the main protagonist in Naughty Dog's upcoming game, *Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet*.
