Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator's Global Server to Shut Down

Sad news for global players of Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy and the Polar Night Liberator. Koei Tecmo and Akatsuki Games have announced the End of Service (EOS) for the game's global version, effective March 28th, 2025. This comes just over a year after its January 2024 launch.

The Japanese version, launched in September 2023, remains operational and is preparing for its 1.5th-anniversary celebration in March 2025 – a stark contrast to the global server's closure.

EOS Date and Final Details:

The global server will officially shut down on March 28th, 2025, coinciding ironically with the Japanese server's anniversary. In-game purchases are already disabled, but players can still utilize any remaining Lodestar Gems. Koei Tecmo promises continued events and content updates until the shutdown.

Reasons for Closure:

The developers cited an inability to maintain a satisfactory player experience as the primary reason for the closure. The game struggled to gain traction, with player complaints surfacing shortly after launch regarding the gacha system, gameplay mechanics, monetization strategies, and excessive power creep. These factors ultimately contributed to the decision to end the global service.

While the global version's first anniversary was celebrated on January 25th, its lifespan will be significantly shorter than its Japanese counterpart. Players wishing to experience the game before its closure can still download it from the Google Play Store.
