The latest expansion for Pokémon TCG Pocket, dubbed "Shining Revelry," has introduced dazzling new shiny variants, along with over 110 new cards to enhance your collection. As a player, I couldn't resist diving into the new packs as soon as the update hit, using my Pack Hourglasses to open ten packs. My luck? I snagged a Charizard EX, but the rest of the haul was somewhat underwhelming. However, pulling a Pokémon Center Lady was a small victory, as her ability to heal Special Conditions can be a game-changer against debilitating effects like Burn.

As with previous updates, Shining Revelry brings an Emblem event, where you can earn new badges to show off to your friends. But this time, the excitement ramps up with the introduction of Ranked Matches. You'll be able to challenge other Trainers and climb the ranks from Beginner to Master Ball, earning points and an emblem at the end of the season, which lasts approximately one month. It's time to dust off those dueling skills and start crafting competitive decks.
