Holding On To Marvel’s Wolverine Updates
In a recent roadmap reveal, Insomniac Games outlined their ambitious plans for the future but chose to remain silent on any new developments for their eagerly awaited title, Marvel’s Wolverine. During an interview with Variety, Co-Head Chad Dezern emphasized the studio's focus on existing projects and their new team's involvement in "great projects with a really ambitious roadmap." However, he refrained from sharing any specifics about upcoming releases, including not confirming or denying a 2025 release for Marvel’s Wolverine.

Marvel’s Wolverine First Announced in 2021
Marvel’s Wolverine was first unveiled during the PlayStation Showcase 2021, accompanied by a cinematic teaser trailer. The game is being developed exclusively for the PlayStation 5. In a 2023 interview with the Kinda Funny YouTube group, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2’s Creative Director Bryan Intihar confirmed that Marvel’s Wolverine shares the same universe as Marvel’s Spider-Man, specifically within the "1048" universe. Although fans hoped for crossover events or joint teasers due to the simultaneous announcements, the only connection so far is a Wolverine-themed suit named "The Best There Is" available for Miles Morales in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2.In December 2023, Insomniac Games faced a ransomware attack, which led to the brief public exposure of Marvel’s Wolverine’s development assets and gameplay showcase.
Insomniac Games Current Projects
Insomniac Games announced that Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 will be available on PC starting January 30, 2025, as revealed during New York Comic-Con 2025. They've clarified that there will be "no additional story content planned for Marvel's Spider-Man 2." However, the PC version will include all updates from the PS5 release, such as new suits, New Game+, and more. The game will be offered in two editions: Standard and Digital Deluxe, the latter featuring exclusive suits for both Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
