Marvel Rivals Future Seasons To Be Half the Size

Marvel Rivals Season 1: Double the Content, Double the Fun!

Get ready for a massive start to Marvel Rivals! Season 1: Eternal Night Falls, launching January 10th at 1 AM PST, boasts double the content of a typical season. This expanded offering is due to the developers' decision to introduce the Fantastic Four all at once, creating a truly epic launch.

This supersized season includes a wealth of new content:

  • Three New Maps: Explore iconic New York City locations – the Sanctum Sanctorum (launching with Season 1 and featuring the new Doom Match mode), Midtown (for Convoy missions), and Central Park (details to be revealed later).
  • The Fantastic Four Arrive: Mister Fantastic (Duelist) and Invisible Woman (Strategist) debut in Season 1, with The Thing and Human Torch joining the roster in a major mid-season update approximately six to seven weeks later.

The decision to release the Fantastic Four together, as explained by Creative Director Guangyun Chen, is the reason behind Season 1's extended length. While this significantly increases the initial content, NetEase Games hasn't yet detailed how this will affect future seasons' content updates. For now, the expectation remains that two new heroes or villains will be added per season.

While the excitement is palpable, some fans expressed disappointment over the absence of Blade. However, the possibility of his future inclusion remains open. With such a robust Season 1 and ongoing speculation, the future of Marvel Rivals looks incredibly bright.
