New Images and Details Revealed for The Lion King Ride and Area at Disneyland Paris, Construction Begins Soon

Exciting updates have emerged for the much-anticipated The Lion King ride, set to grace Disneyland Paris with a construction start window in Fall 2025. According to the Disney Parks Blog, this pioneering attraction and themed land will be a major highlight of the transformed Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be known as Disney Adventure World. This new water ride promises to immerse guests in the iconic moments of the 1994 classic, complemented by a towering 120-foot-high Pride Rock and an array of dining, shopping, and character meet-and-greet experiences.

Disney has unveiled a fresh concept image of the ride, showcasing Audio-Animatronics of young Simba, Timon, and Pumbaa enjoying a meal in a lush jungle environment. This is just one segment of an exhilarating journey that includes a thrilling 52-foot drop, slightly taller than Tiana's Bayou Adventure. While an exact opening date remains undisclosed, the ride is slated to debut following the grand opening of World of Frozen in 2026, contributing to the expansive new vision of Disney Adventure World, which will double the current park's size.

Alongside The Lion King ride, Disney Adventure World will feature other exciting additions such as the Raiponce Tangled Spin, with Mandy Moore reprising her role as Rapunzel, and the first-ever attraction inspired by Up, described as a "spinning carousel" offering panoramic views of the park's scenic beauty.

A significant highlight will be the World Premiere, set to open on May 15, 2025, serving as the new park entrance and recreating the glamour of a Hollywood premiere. Adjacent to it, World Premiere Plaza, inspired by Broadway and the West End, will house theaters hosting captivating shows like TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure, Mickey and the Magician, and Frozen: A Musical Invitation.
