Pokémon Center Hiroshima Moving to a New Location
Also Announces Gyarados-Themed Playground
Pokémon enthusiasts in Hiroshima have exciting news to look forward to: Pokémon Center Hiroshima is set to close its current location at the end of March and will reopen in a new spot around April 2025. In an exciting development, the beloved store is also launching a unique Gyarados-themed playground called Gyarados Plaza this March.
The new Pokémon Center Hiroshima will be situated on the second floor of Ekie, near the north exit of Hiroshima Station. Since its opening in June 2015, the center has been a staple on the 6th floor of Sogo Hiroshima’s Main Building, adjacent to the RIHGA Royal Hotel and facing the Hiroshima Prefectural Office.
The "Gyarados Plaza by Pokémon Center Hiroshima" is slated to open its doors on March 24, 2025, at the rooftop of Soramoa Plaza in the newly constructed Hiroshima Station building, Minamoa. This innovative space is designed to be a haven where visitors of all ages can interact with Pokémon in their own unique ways, featuring large play equipment modeled after the iconic Gyarados, symbolizing Pokémon Center Hiroshima.
For the initial period following its launch, access to the playground equipment at Gyarados Plaza will require advance reservations. Keep an eye on the official Minamoa website for further details.
If you're planning a visit to Hiroshima, note that the Pokémon Center is open daily from 10:00 am to 7:30 pm.
