Squad Busters is undergoing significant changes, most notably the elimination of Win Streaks. This means the days of relentlessly climbing the win streak ladder for extra rewards are over. However, this isn't the only update on the horizon.

Why the Change and When?

The decision to remove Win Streaks stems from player feedback. Instead of fostering a sense of achievement, the streak system was reportedly adding undue pressure and frustration. The feature will be removed on December 16th. Your highest win streak will remain on your profile as a commemorative achievement.

As compensation for this removal, players who reached certain win streak milestones (0-9, 10, 25, 50, and 100) before December 16th will receive exclusive emotes. Unfortunately, coins spent on boosting streaks will not be refunded; developers cite maintaining game balance between free and paid players as the reason.

Player reaction to this change is mixed. Some welcome the reduced emphasis on pay-to-win mechanics, while others express disappointment, particularly regarding the perceived inadequacy of the compensation.
