Goat Simulator Card Game Launching Later This Year

None of us probably expected to hear this, but Goat Simulator is set to expand its whimsical universe with its very own card game! Yes, I’m eager to see how this game will turn out, and it’s expected to hit the stores later this year. Coffee Stain North, the masterminds behind Goat Simulator, are collaborating with MOOD Publishing—the creators of games like Deep Rock Galactic: The Board Game and Valheim: The Board Game—to bring this unique experience to life.

What Else Do We Know About Goat Simulator: The Card Game?

As of now, the developers haven’t revealed much about the game. What we do know is that it will accommodate 2-6 players, immersing them in a battle filled with goat-driven mayhem. It promises to capture all the absurdity of the original franchise, packaged in a delightful card game format. Goat Simulator: The Card Game is a physical card game set to launch on Kickstarter later this year. If you’ve ever yeeted a goat into oblivion in the video game, you can probably imagine the wild energy that will be brought to the card game.

Santiago Ferrero, the Creative Director at Coffee Stain North, had a hilariously spot-on comment about the upcoming game. “Chaotic animal-based video games are so last year. That’s why we’ve partnered with MOOD Publishing to release a chaotic animal-based card game instead! You’ve seen goats on your screen; now it’s time to bring them to your table.”

Who Knew Goat Simulation Would Become a Genre in Itself?

What began as an April Fool’s joke in 2014 has turned into a cultural phenomenon. From PCs and consoles to the Nintendo Switch, iOS, Android, and Apple Arcade, the goat-themed game has managed to stay relevant all these years. And now, with Goat Simulator 3 continuing the absurd legacy of its predecessor, the series is expanding into card games. Until then, you can check out the Goat Simulator games on the Google Play Store.
