G.I. Joe Goes Heavy Metal in Hasbro's Incredible Cold Slither Box Set

IGN gets an exclusive first look at Hasbro's latest G.I. Joe Classified Series addition: the Cold Slither band! This killer box set features Zartan and his Dreadnoks rocking full heavy metal gear.

The G.I. Joe Classified: Dreadnoks Cold Slither – Band of Vipers action figure set is inspired by a classic G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero episode. It's a Hasbro San Diego Comic-Con exclusive this summer. See the amazing detail in the image gallery below:

The set includes 6-inch figures of Zartan, Ripper, Buzzer, and Torch, ready for their "Band of Vipers World Tour" concert. It boasts 29 accessories, including instruments like a guitar, bass, keytar, and drum kit. The packaging even replicates the Springfield Theater!

This box set is a San Diego Comic-Con exclusive (July 24-27, 2025). Limited quantities will be available on Hasbro Pulse afterward.

For fans of classic G.I. Joe, Hasbro and Super7 are releasing a Cold Slither Zartan ReAction+ figure. This 3.75-inch figure is reminiscent of the original A Real American Hero toys, featuring O-ring construction and retro packaging. It even glows in the dark under UV light and comes with a microphone and guitar.

The Cold Slither Zartan ReAction+ figure is priced at $20 and will be available for pre-order on the Super7 website starting April 3rd at 9:15 AM PT.

Hasbro's commitment to the musical theme extends to a real Cold Slither album! Teaming with Reigning Phoenix Music, the album features 10 tracks, described as: "In 2025, Cold Slither, the iconic heavy metal rock band from G.I. Joe lore, are releasing their highly anticipated debut album. Headlined by the phenomenal self-titled anthem “Cold Slither,” the album delivers 10 electrifying tracks that blend searing distorted guitar riffs, pounding rhythms, and irresistibly catchy, anthemic choruses."
