How to Unlock Fishing in Monster Hunter Wilds
To unlock fishing in Monster Hunter Wilds, head to the Forest Base Camp in the Scarlet Forest, which you'll reach during Chapter 1. Here, you'll find Kanya standing beside a pond, engaged in fishing. Approach her once you have full access to the camp. After speaking with her, Kanya will provide you with a fishing rod and the Common Wood Minnow lure, initiating the ‘Fishing: Life, in Microcosm’ sidequest. This is just the beginning of several fishing quests that will progressively unlock various bait lures, enabling you to catch the rarest fish in the game.
