A Decade in the Making:
The path to Dragon Age: The Veilguard's release has been a long and complex one, marked by significant delays spanning almost a decade. Development, initially starting in 2015 after Dragon Age: Inquisition, faced numerous hurdles. Shifts in BioWare's focus towards Mass Effect: Andromeda and Anthem redirected resources, leading to delays and even a complete halt in development at one point. The project, initially codenamed "Joplin," was later revived in 2018 under the codename "Morrison," before finally being announced as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf in 2022, and ultimately settling on its current title.
Despite these challenges, the wait is nearly over. Dragon Age: The Veilguard is poised to launch this fall on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Prepare yourselves, Thedas awaits!
