How to Find the Cat Island in Assassin’s Creed Shadows

To embark on this feline adventure, you'll need to venture into the Omi region, which you'll typically reach around the midpoint of the story. Ensure your characters are well-prepared and powered up before heading northeast towards Omi.

Your destination lies within Lake Biwa, a large body of water that dominates the central parts of the Omi region. To reach it efficiently, it's advisable to commandeer a boat. You can find one in the settlements of Azuchi or Omizo, or if you're feeling adventurous, you could always swim across the lake.

Set your sights on the larger island in the middle of Lake Biwa, just northwest of Azuchi. As you approach, the game will reveal Okishima Island, where you can find a Kakurega to rest. The abundance of fish being dried near the docks suggests a plentiful food source for a particular type of animal.

To immerse yourself in the feline charm of Okishima, head north towards the Leap of Faith. As you ascend, you'll notice more and more cats appearing around you. Don't forget to pet them; this will add these charming creatures to your collection for use in your Hideout. Keep an eye out for rare kittens, which are particularly difficult to find elsewhere.

While other Leaps of Faith may unlock additional locations on your map, the true treasure of Okishima is undoubtedly the cats. After taking in the sights and completing your Leap of Faith into the haystack, there isn't much more to do on the island except to enjoy the company of your new feline friends. You'll also have the opportunity to revisit Okishima later in Yasuke's story, adding another layer of excitement to your journey.
