Blizzard Shares New Details on WoW Housing

In 2025, World of Warcraft players can look forward to the much-anticipated introduction of a housing system, as Blizzard has begun to unveil the initial details. This new feature will be accessible to all players, free from complex prerequisites, exorbitant costs, or lottery systems, and your home will remain yours even if you pause your subscription. The comprehensive rollout of this housing content is slated for the Midnight expansion.

Upon launch, players will have the opportunity to select their plot in one of two designated zones: Alliance members can choose plots in Elwynn Forest, which will also incorporate elements from Westfall and Duskwood, while Horde players will find their home in Durotar, featuring elements from Azshara and the Durotar coastline.

Each zone will be segmented into districts, housing approximately 50 homes per district. Players can opt for plots in open areas or join private communities alongside friends and guildmates. Blizzard promises an extensive array of decoration options for personalizing your space, with most items available directly in-game, and a select few available in the shop.

The housing system is designed with three core principles in mind: extensive customization, fostering social interactions, and ensuring longevity. Blizzard plans to release more details about the housing system in the future and invites players to share their thoughts and ideas on this exciting new feature.
