Bandai Namco Unveils Digimon Alysion: Digital Card Game

Bandai Namco is set to launch Digimon Alysion, a mobile adaptation of the popular Digimon Card Game, available on both Android and iOS platforms. This free-to-play game, announced during Digimon Con 2025 on March 19th, promises an exciting digital experience, though an exact release date remains undisclosed.

During the same event, Bandai Namco shared additional updates, including the continuation of Digimon Liberator with a new arc in April 2025. They also celebrated the 25th anniversary of the Digimon anime with a special video and announced new projects like Digimon Adventure: Beyond and a console and PC RPG titled Digimon Story: Time Stranger.

Digimon Alysion: Not Just a Card Game Port

Digimon Alysion isn't merely a digital version of the physical card game. It introduces 'DigiAly' cards, exclusive to this mobile version, along with new Digimon and characters. The game's character lineup, primarily featuring an all-girls cast, marks a unique direction for a digital card game. This choice has sparked some skepticism among fans who were expecting a more faithful adaptation of the physical game.

Bandai Namco's previous attempts at Digimon mobile games have faced challenges, leading to some hesitation about Digimon Alysion's potential success. Despite this, the anticipation for the game remains high. A closed beta test is planned, though specifics are yet to be revealed.
