High-quality implementation of the most popular card game Durak (Fool)
The card game "Durak" ("Fool", "Dumb") is one of the most popular and widespread card games in the former Soviet Union. This implementation allows you to play "Durak" ("Fool") offline, without an internet connection, using a deck of 24, 36, or 52 cards.
"Durak" ("Fool") comes in two main variants: "Fool Flip" (Durak Podkidnoy) and "Fool Transferable" (Durak Perevodnoy). While the rules share some similarities, each variant has its own unique aspects.
The primary goal of the game is to get rid of your cards as quickly as possible. The first player to do so becomes the winner, while the last player remaining is dubbed the "fool" (durak).
In "Flip Fool" (Durak Podkidnoy), the classic version of the game, if the attacker has no cards to play against the defender, the next player to the defender's left takes over. They can only play one card at a time. Once it is beaten, the turn returns to the original attacker. If the player to the left of the defender has no cards to play, the turn moves clockwise to the next player. This allows all players to participate in attacking, hence the name "Flip Fool" or "Durak Classic."
"Transferable Fool" (Durak Perevodnoy) adds an exciting twist to the game. Starting from the second move, the defending player can "transfer" a card played against them by placing a card of the same rank but a different suit on the table. This shifts the attack to the next player in a clockwise direction, who can also transfer the card to the next player, and so on. This variant is aptly named "Transferable Fool."
